it’s just you… and me…

FIRST TIME VOTER!!! haha… yarh, that’s me. making history. first time being able to vote. was hoping that i could make a difference in shaping singapore’s future. i was nv interested in politics really. neither am i now. but ever since i heard mr chiam speak, i’ll always rmb his words…

"with power comes corruption, total power comes total corruption!!!"

i gave it a thought, and it does make sense actually. we certainly needed an alternative opinion in the government. not everything decided by the government is correct and is the best for the people. of course, we dun need someone in the government to oppose for the sake of opposing, but we certainly need ppl to oppose when things are not quite correct. how can we assure ourselves that those pap ppl dare to oppose the decisions made by those main ppl in the government? they are paid to work sia, they wont have the guts to oppose that much, they might get kicked to those lowly jobs… like ministry of environment and take charge of the dustbins… haha.

nevertheless, mr chiam and mr low won back their seats and they deserve it. congrats to both of them!!!

but one thing that i wont forget that happened today is when me and my dad went to vote earlier today. both of us are loyal supporters of WP. but the funny thing is that, my dad confidently placed a "tick" instead of the supposedly "cross" on his voting sheet. silly!!!!

Went out to parkway today with eileen and jessi. haha. that was the first time i saw jessi in person. she’s very cuteeeeee!!! haha. but poor thing, eileen call her blackie! haha. silly. both of them really funny. so kiddy. haha. mayb i am too old le…

well, we din do much la… jessi bought a pair of ear rings, and then we went look arnd. yarh… but the real funny thing happened when we were on our way back home. we boarded bus 31 and then sat at the two seats which are facing each other near the front of the bus. Eileen sat beside Jessi, and me.. sat beside a ger who was sleeping. she’s very very very cute lor!!! much cuter than jessi!

she’s probably arnd 4-5yrs old. and… she was drooling away! haha. but poor thing leh… she was dead asleep there alone, and we found it quite weird and worrying. we looked all over, but couldnt see anyone which looked like her parents. poor ger… where’s her mummy daddy???

after a while, i saw this young lady seating directly behind me. she too was fast asleep like the little ger. although she wasn’t drooling away, she was nodding away… and she did have some kind of resemblance with that little ger. so, i thot she might be her elder sis la. so, we were relaxed for quite a while… until…. that young lady woke up and alighted from the bus shortly. we went berserk!!! eileen and jessi are almost reaching their stop, and they had to leave me all by myself to worry for that poor little kid.

i tried waking her up, but she simply couldn’t wake up. she must be really tired… i then seek for assistance from another young lady who was seating on the other side of me. i told her to help me wake up that little ger and asked her abt her parents’ whereabouts. i was afraid that the ger might not understand english. But that lady was sooooooo blur… in the end, i got like almost the whole bus looking at me. they too were curious to find out what happened.

thank god, got this middle-aged lady came to my rescue. she quickly came forward and helped out. and when she asked that little ger where her parents is… she sleepily pointed to the driver. i was shocked, and so was that lady. she asked again to double confirm. and true enough, her dad is the bus driver!!!

i laughed to myself as i find that i worried for nothing. haha. but i was relieved nevertheless that all is fine!
