Another busy weekend…

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

I had soooo much stress the past week. Now i have countless new habitants on my face. They are called pimples in case u dun know what i m referring to. argh!!!

Anw, this weekend i did nothing much but i was occupied to the max. i spend so much time sitting down around singapore river making sketches of several buildings. as i was doing a sketch of the Asian Civilisation Museum, many strangers walked past and praised me on my work. i felt so silly. it wasn’t really that gd a work. anw, i’ll share the sketches with u all. feel free to comment.

so busy! no time!!!!

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

so many things happened over the past 2 weeks…. seriously no time to update my blog.  let me just summarise the main things that happen over this period of time. on 15th August…. well… i took part in a parlour magic competition that was held at Bayview Hotel. The competition was organised by IBM, International Brotherhood of Magician. I didn’t win any prize but it was a very gd experience nevertheless.

i then had the followup for the charity event with CCF. This time round it was at Wisma Atria. I had a gd time performing there. So many ppl over there as compared to Tampines Mall the week before that.

On Sunday, I helped professional magician Joe Yu to do tablehoping magic at Seletar Country Club. I was paid 120bucks for 45mins of "work". Gd money! hehe… but then, the rest of the week spelled struggles in an attempt to finish my assignments. Trying my best to meet the dateline, i resorted to skipping several lectures and two tutorials. That was how desperate I was. hai~~

CCF event @ Tampines Mall 14th Aug (delayed entry)

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

yeah… my experience… i had fun.. not lots of fun… enough fun to keep me going. i had quite a number of audience who stayed almost throughout my whole 2hrs there. i said thanks n took my leave, went to target another group, and they hang around still to watch me. well… mayb they were out to find out how i did my routines. haha… but anw, they were a real gd bunch.

but…. i did come across this group of 18yrs old teens…. hmm… i got heckled…. 3 times in a row, i forced a card.. i am pretty sure i got the card remembered correctly… but they either say i got the colour guessed wrongly or the suit is wrong… in the end, i realised that they were out to heckled me. but gd thing i kept my cool… on normal days, i would probably whack the shit out of them. (dun think they can bully me just because i am short n small sized… hmph!)

anw, some of them thought i resorted to black magic when i did my fork bending routine.. very much like "liquid metal"! haha… i got a whole lot of gd response n i m looking forward to next week.

TPJC Alumni Band!

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

5th of August 2005 marks a milestone in the history of TPJC Alumni Band. Eversince it’s humble beginnings about 3 years ago, the band had struggled so much to become what it is today. Undoubtedly, the person behind this has got to be a senior of mine, Justine. She toiled, soiled and… just to get the band going. Fought so hard with the teachers, principal and all just for the benefit of the band.

On 5th August, the alumni band finally made their first stage appearance on the grand stage of Victoria Concert Hall that very evening. For some strange reason, the band suddenly sounded sooooo great during the concert itself. it’s soooo hard to believe that i got very much distracted. i was playing the snare drum and i kind of screw up my part a little. shhhh…. dun tell ppl k?

After that very evening, I know that there’ll be greater things to come for this band and i’ll surely be looking forward to it. TPJC Alumni Band! U ROXX!!!
